Two things can happen on Saturday nights. People either go out. Or people stay in. I’m definitely part of the staying in gang. I honestly don’t think you can beat a cosy night in, with your loved ones, curled up, blankets on laps, candles and fire on, watching a film, sipping on your favourite drink.
On occasion I might throw in ten minutes meditation just to bring me back to the present after a busy day. Just to stop, breathe, and sink into a moments peace. It just resets me and quietens my mind.
It’s all too easy to get wrapped up in your non stop world. Always thinking ahead, always planning your next move, always anticipating plans and situations, remembering your to do list, forgetting your to do list… it’s never ending. You can lose yourself. You can forget to appreciate the now; your health, your happiness, your loved ones. They’re the things that really matter.
So indulge in a quiet night from time to time. Set the scene and just let yourself be.
